This event on June 30 was the first event of the 2022 mega-campaign in Australia. The teams hoped to be observing from the Eyre Highway on Australia’s south coast, but the weather forced them to drive north from Adelaide toward Alice Springs.
Menoetius observers made it to the Northern Territory, where they found mostly clear skies on event night, while Patroclus observers fought clouds south of Coober Pedy but managed two positive chords.
Brian Keeney presented the results of this campaign at the AAS Division of Planetary Science Meeting in October 2022.
